The Chichester School District is seeking a dedicated and student-centered educator for a Music Teacher position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality instruction that meets the diverse needs of students with varying levels of interest and experience while utilizing best practices in music education, and fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes student growth and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach foundational concepts - Introduce rhythm, melody, harmony, tempo, dynamics, and basic music theory through singing, movement, and listening.
• Provide hands-on experiences - Guide students in playing unpitched and pitched classroom instruments (such as xylophones, recorders, and drums).
• Design lesson plans - Create structured, age-appropriate activities that align with state or district music education standards.
• Adapt instruction - Modify lessons to support diverse learning styles and accommodate students with special needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Pennsylvania certification in Music Education K-12
• Valid, required clearances
