  • Identify and treat common stains such as food, beverages, grease, soil, pet stains, urine, ink, gum, and other contaminants.

  • Perform colorfastness and material testing when necessary before applying chemicals.

  • Avoid over-wetting, fiber damage, dye bleeding, browning, shrinkage, and other preventable cleaning problems.

  • Clean stairs, hallways, common areas, offices, apartments, homes, and commercial facilities.

  • Move light furniture when necessary and return the work area to an orderly condition.

  • Protect walls, floors, furniture, baseboards, and customer belongings while performing services.

  • Set up air movers or other drying equipment when appropriate.

  • Perform upholstery cleaning when trained and assigned.

  • Complete before-and-after documentation and photographs when required.

  • Clean, inspect, and maintain hoses, wands, extractors, sprayers, filters, brushes, cords, and other equipment after use.

  • Report equipment problems or maintenance needs promptly.

  • Follow PuroClean safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Assist with other cleaning or restoration services when needed.

Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • 1–2 years of professional carpet-cleaning experience preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with professional carpet-cleaning and extraction equipment.

  • Knowledge of carpet fibers, textures, cleaning methods, stains, and cleaning chemicals.

  • Ability to determine when a carpet or textile requires special treatment.
