Now Hiring: Senior Electrical Designer — New York City

At MG Engineering, we provide full-service MEP engineering solutions for sophisticated and high-profile projects across the US. Our portfolio includes Class A commercial towers, luxury residential and mixed-use developments, corporate headquarters, financial trading floors, hospitality destinations, restaurants, retail environments, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges/universities, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades.

With long-standing relationships across the industry, we collaborate with leading developers, landlords, architects, owners’ representatives, and clients on complex, fast-paced projects that help shape the built environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll join a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of 14–18 engineers and designers working on interior fit-outs and base-building projects for corporate, financial, retail, hospitality, residential, and institutional clients.

In this role, you will:

• Lead electrical system design from schematic design through construction administration
\n
• Coordinate directly with architects, owners, consultants, and project teams
\n
• Contribute to technically challenging and fast-paced projects throughout NYC and beyond
\n
• Mentor and support junior designers and engineers
\n
• Help deliver innovative, coordinated engineering solutions across a wide range of project types
\n

What You Bring

\n
• 7+ years of electrical design experience, ideally in commercial interiors and/or base-building projects
\n
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
\n
• Strong knowledge of the NYC Electrical Code, NEC, and NYCECC
\n
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
\n
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
\n
